amioyang on "Fin PhD at HKUST or Econ PhD at TOP30-50 U.S."

Hey guys, I am new here. Currently I received an offer from HKUST Finance Ph.D. and am very likely to be admitted by some TOP 50 Econ program at U.S. (let's say U Maryland or Georgetown).
My interest is macro finance and I am planning to find a job in Chinese universities, e.g., Tsinghua, PKU, RUC etc.
How would you suggest me where to go? Is it hard for Georgetown Econ Ph.D. to find a decent school in China? Will Finance Ph.D. dominate Econ Ph.D. given the relatively smaller supply? Will HKUST has a better connection with Chinese universities compared to U.S. schools?
Please guys, I really need your help!
